Originally, this was a gift for my father for his birthday. Then I dedicated the CD to my cousin, Jesse Billauer, a native of the Pacific Palisades, California, and the cause of spinal cord research. In 1996, at the age of 17, Jesse injured his spine in a surfing accident and became a C6 quadriplegic, paralyzed from the chest down. Jesse is now 25 years old, graduated from San Diego State University, and is a motivational speaker. He also stays active with sports such as water skiing, jet skiing, and is back on the waves, surfing on his stomach. Jesse is affiliated with the Christopher Reeve Foundation.
